Completed applications for both the 2019 Fellowship Program and the 2019 Special Grants Program sponsored by the NY Grace Legendre Endowment Fund Inc. (GLEF) need to be submitted by February 28, 2019.
Since 1989, GLEF has awarded over $166,000 in Fellowships for graduate study to qualified women. In the Spring of 2019 GLEF will award three Fellowships, each in the amount of two thousand dollars. Women who wish to be considered for a GLEF Fellowship must be a US citizen, NYS resident, hold a Bachelor's degree, be currently enrolled (and have already completed at least one semester) in an advanced graduate degree program at an accredited New York State college or university, and show evidence of scholastic ability and a need for financial assistance.
In 2004 GLEF began awarding Special Grants to organizations to sponsor educational or research opportunities that further the advancement of working women. Requests for the Special Grants to be awarded in the Spring of 2019 may range from $100, but may not exceed the total funds available ($500). Applications are welcomed for NYS Women Inc. Local Chapters, Regions, State President, or State Executive Committee as well as from other organizations whose mission statement is consistent with the purpose of the Endowment Fund.
Applications, eligibility requirements, and further information are available on the respective sections of the GLEF website.
